Stakeholder Engagement

By creating opportunities for dialogue and communication with stakeholders, SMFL strives to achieve a mutual understanding of our respective policies, measures, and activities. Moreover, we link the expectations and hopes placed on SMFL that arise from these efforts to our business activities, and to a stronger business foundation.

During individual transactions and collaborations, we engage in intimate communication with our customers, suppliers, and partner companies. Similarly, we provide arenas for continuous dialogue between employees and management, and focus on enhancing engagement, including improving employee benefits and providing growth opportunities. As part of our initiatives targeting local communities and next generations, we work to prevent disasters, provide aid for victims, assist in decarbonization efforts, support education, and conduct social contribution activities that are not directly related to our business. And we continuously ensure accountability through attentive dialogue with financial institutions and IR activities targeting institutional investors. We also closely collaborate with our two shareholders in every respect, including at the management level, as well as on an individual business unit and project basis.
