Allocating Personnel Flexibly and Optimally to Achieve Management Strategies

In order to advance the four strategies in the mid-term plan: "Creation of new core businesses," "Fundamental transformation of existing businesses," "Further resolution of social issues," and "Establishment of management foundation," and to realize our management and divisional strategies, we will continue to flexibly and optimally assign personnel by bringing on board diverse human resources to support our growth.

Hiring and Retaining Talent, Personnel Allocation

SMFL is working diligently to secure a diverse human workforce through new graduate and mid-career hiring in a bid to push forward our management strategies. As far as new graduate recruitment is concerned, we are placing increased emphasis on the communication of information by revising starting salaries, posting information on various media, and holding workshops to deepen understanding of SMFL.

From a mid-career recruitment perspective, we hire talent with in-depth expertise and high market value in digital fields as experts, and have expanded onboarding measures to ensure they can fully exercise their capabilities once hired.
These measures involve creating communication opportunities through networking events for mid-career hires and through a mentoring system.

Against the backdrop of a rapidly changing business environment, SMFL is hiring people with diverse personalities who will work together as a part of SMFL's future and embody the "SMFL Way." As far as our hiring activities are concerned, we communicate information through online seminars and workshops to deepen understanding of SMFL. We also work to enhance mutual understanding by increasing contact between employees and students. After joining SMFL, we offer a wide range of training programs for new and young employees, including on-the-job training, to provide them with the basic tools to excel as a member of society and SMFL employee. Moreover, we help young employees in acquiring business skills, solving issues, and developing their careers through the Human Resources Department Mentoring Program. We firmly believe that human resources are the wellspring of a company's competitive strength, and will continue to recruit students who will lead the next generation.

The scope of SMFL's business continues to evolve dramatically. Activities extend beyond leasing into the Real Estate, Transportation, Environmental and Energy, DX, and Circular Economy fields. As such, it is vital that we secure human resources with a broad array of knowledge and expertise. From a business that began with leasing, this evolution in our endeavors reflects our ongoing goal to solve issues for people and society at all times. With the "expansion" of people and society firmly entrenched as a keyword, we will take up the challenge of exploring unknown domains and promoting innovation by bringing to the fold a variety of people who have a proven track record of excellence across a broad range of fields.
